Mike Norris has been around cars, shops and race tracks since 1974. Starting in high school and working his way up in knowledge, he has logged 15 years of service with GM.  In addition, Mike has worked for several race teams from his daughter Heather's Quarter Midget to Melanie Troxel's dad, Mike Troxel, in the 80's with his top Alcohol Dragster days.  After moving back to Florida in 1998, Mike was working for a local Orlando Chevrolet dealership and learning the ins and outs of the new LSx Gen III engines from their beginnings. He began doing some performance work at a small shop and in 1999 officially formed Norris Motorsports, LLC in Ocoee, Florida.

In 2004, business had grown quickly and Norris Motorsports expanded into a 13,000+ SF facility with 8 employees in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The company name changed as did the times. As time went on and business changed, Mike realized he had preferred the small and more personal one-on-one with the customer type of business and decided it was time to go back to the basics.  He sold a majority of his business, moved a smaller location in Winter Garden, FL and went back to the name Norris Motorsports.

In 2009, we made a decision to move back to the Indianapolis area and things just keep getting better business wise. We have quickly built up a great local business as well as still do work for folks in Florida by co-op'ing with a couple local shops and great partners.

We deal with each client personally from inception to completion. This keeps the customer informed and up to speed with the project's process.  Mike handles 100% of the phone and one-on-one communication, as well as the tuning, fabrication, installation and parts sales.  We pride ourselves on working with only the best suppliers and companies. We use what we sell and do not let a good profit on a part dictate whether we use it or not.  We treat each customer and their vehicle as we would want ourselves or our own vehicle to be treated by other people.

Over the years Norris Motorsports have been able to work with the best people, shops, manufacturers and suppliers in the business to bring the customer the best in service, performance and customer satisfaction available. We are also very privileged to call many of our customers friends and family.

The current shop is a 4200 SF facility with an in-house DynoJet 248 above ground chassis dyno with wideband air/fuel reading capabilites. For LSx tuning, we use HP Tuners for the stock ECM's. We also use FAST XFI, Holley EFI, MAST and Accel DFI Gen7 & Thruster systems on most of our Pro-Touring projects.  We can support just about any upgrades including R&R engine, transmission and read end assemblies. We do have the "normal" above ground lift and shop equipment that you would expect in a first class shop.

We thank you for taking your valuable time to take a look at our site and we look forward to working for you in the future.
